A Crosman "Storm XT" - was helping a friend clean out a basement and came across it. He said I could have it if I really wanted it. ( "... you really want that thing?" he asked kind of incredulously - lol ) It was a bit rusted and man when I stared pulling patches though the barrel - was that dirty!
Anyway - long story short - I just fired a few rounds of jsb 10.3's through it across my chrony down in the basement. They were the last 11 I had in that particular tin so this was a good excuse to use them.
*Very* first observation - the trigger on this thing is god awful!! ( lol!! ) I'm guessing it's not adjustable but - who knows - maybe it is. I don't see any visible adjustment screws - haven't *really* looked yet though. Short, dinky little barrel - maybe 17-18" long. Noisy little thing too . . . It had that scope on it.
So anyway - first shot across the chrony - kapow!!! 1072 fps. Yikes!! ( lol ) "Oh my . . . not gonna be able to hit the side of a barn with this thing" I'm thinking. Surprisingly enough though the remaining 10 shots were a (again - surprisingly flat and pretty consistent) 775, 764, 775, 761, 770, 765, 767, 763, 743, 770
Huh.
I may have to put a target up ( on a large piece of cardboard ) to see if it will in fact hit the side of a barn - weather supposed to be a little warmer on Sunday (central upstate NY)
