Looking a a HFT RIFLE! AA S510 XS ULTIMATE SPORTER?

If you remove the magazine index-er and use a single shot tray, you can work around that.

Otherwise, you will need to use a nautilus or hatchet shaped wheel. You can easily clear the magazine port with one of those. I ordered a 3D printed nautilus wheel for my falcon X50 for about $25.
Solid reply, I "upvoted" your answer!

So it is pretty Doable than
Absolutely, worst case scenario just chop off a quarter of your side wheel (won't be used anyway since you won't parallax past 55 yds for HFT. Turn the wheel to the chopped off part, load in a new mag and you're good to go for several lanes.

There is also the elemental objects magazines that hold 13 RDS in .177 so you can get a solid 2-3 lanes with no mag changes. Been using those on my S510T with great results.

If Air Arms is the rifle you prefer I would get a HFT 500 designed for HFT.
Sadly .. NOT Regulated and too low of output for the >20 fpe class.

The Ultimate is a XS series that comes factory regulated and IMO better suited as a HFT rig.

Yes the loading and MAG on the left side is not ideal and not sure with the mag a BIG side wheel would even work w/o Mag being IN THE WAY ?

All Said ....
Look at DAYSTATE, they have some very nice Non Electric models that may be just the ticket ... Thoughts are the HUNTSMAN REVERE and the WOLVERINE R
* Both factory regulated, side lever, mag EITHER side Nice nice rifles !!

IDEALLY is make it to a couple matches, borrow a loaner gun & see what others are using, Try out what you like therefore making an educated decision

Maybe so, but many HFT 500 owners might disagree.
My HFT 500 with a Lane regulator over 72 shot string.
ES-20
SD-3.25
FPE-16.21
Also US HFT class is <20fpe not >20fpe
Lane reg is a MODIFICATION and not factory spec ... So a minus for comparison sake or $$ evaluation.
ES of 20 is not that good, honestly its not.
16.21 fpe is kinda LOW having the limit be sub 20 fpe ... so my misuse of <> has you correct.

There is an AA S500 that is factory regulated and up to 20fpe, one of my good friends has one. I have also shot a Daystate Wolverine R that is lights out as well. I would also suggest looking at an RAW. But be sure to put money back for a high quality scope, in the hunter class limited to 16X a really good scope is imperative.

if intent is multi use as in pesting and FT and plinking, options to use mag or single shot options is handy. Also how you load those tiny pellets can be cumbersome for some people; loading gate access is important when only 5 minutes per lane thus having a flip out tray is mucho bueno - see Rowan engineering! Of course many people donate a lot of pellets to the earth god.

I'm not saying the HFT 500 is the best HFT rifle out there.
And you were the one that brought up the regulated vs non.
I was just making a point that my regulated rifle has some very respectable numbers over a 72 shot string.
And in a FT match you are only taking 40 to 45 shots.
45 shot string
ES-11
SD-2.33
With those number and in a match where most of your shots are <40yds the trigger puller is going to be the difference.

Peace(y)

Very very good choice. Shoot very accurately and are so smooth. I got the Rowan auto pop out single shot tray. Used mags too. Both work great.

This is the carbine version. They make one longer. You shoot 60 shots a match. The full size you wont have to refill but my carbine i need to after 40 shots but not an issue.

I tried the AA XS Ultimate Sporter, wanted something that shoots faster than the HFT 500. Greatly regret going with that gun, I've had two bad ones from Pyramyd, first gun had a badly machined breech block which made it shoot a foot low at 20yds, second one wouldn't hold air overnight. The third replacement gun is more than a month away & I'll be selling it as soon as it comes in, lost all faith in the brand. I'm unaware of a single shot tray for the S510, apart from the one from Rowan, which I bought. Excellent service & product from Rowan but the tray flips out, ie. it provides no more clearance for a large wheel than the magazine does. Tried a cut away wheel but the hubs are so big that they're already in the way of a mag/Rowan tray. Couldn't bear the thought of a 3D printed wheel on a $1800 gun.
