Looking for .22 mod input: Huggett Snipe Standard vs. 0db 160S vs. Huma Mod30 3/0

Going to try adding felt coins to the inside of my huma and shoot holes through it to seal up the over sized holes for better air stripping.
That sounds like a really bad idea. The holes will not be perfect and little pieces of fuzz will likely impact your POI constantly. Worst case you blow out the mod.

Thanks for the replies. I have a Huggett Atom and a Magna and they are really good, so maybe I'll try a Snipe.

The holes are sized the same as the end cap on the huma. Some have said they are rather oversized to avoid clipping issues. UK forum guys have been shooting through felt coins between hair curlers installed in their china solvent traps. Just shoot through one at a time with a wadcutter pellet. I bet just a couple at the end baffles would do wonders since real suppressors utilize bullet wipes that are nothing more than a rubber washer that gets the first hole made by the bullet.

Here's a "20 silencer test" by mrbulk on GTA. Based on his results, I put a Huma 30 on my .22 HP SS Plus. The muzzle blast went from, similar to my Marlin 39a, down to sharp puff that I can tolerate w/o earplugs in the garage. Granted, the the Huma 30 in his tests belonged to another member who modified its baffles, but I'm happy with my stock unit.

I like the mod30. The coloration of pieces doesn't match perfect but it's not too bad, and huma customer service is great. I added one chamber, and use avalanche for first insert or "blast baffle"... made a big difference
Adds a bit of volume i guess.I may mix and match more later to expirement. Over all seems nice
