Does the CS 4 still require an external invertor, the descriptions wasn't clear.
I was always against the external invertor until the one I got puked ! All that was needed was another invertor ( warranty) w/o the hassle of shipping back the unit (GX4) . This compressor is heavy enough , I'd rather not have to carry it if, internal, when I take it to the field where I won't need AC anyway. I have a AV Rovair that lasted less than a year , used only on AC in an air conditioned basement . Only ran a max of 10 min. at a time . Called AV left a msg ,as instructed by PA where I purchased , never a reply. For the $$$ asked of some of the air cooled brands , you can't beat a GX liquid cooled for service . They are a bit heavy , be forewarned .

I would agree with this. The external converter is FAR easier to not only replace...but we also sell upgraded/larger ones for those that are filling bottles. The larger converter runs cooler too... plus you can use it for other things that need to go from 110 to 12V.
