Looking for a new pcp

Ok guys I'm in the market for a backyard pcp. It will used for paper targets only. It will be used for 25-50 yards. Anyone know a good pcp at a decent price that is accurate while mouse fart quiet? I'm not looking to spend $1000 on a backyard pcp. I'm looking to keep it around $500. The quieter the better.

The Benjamin Marauder fits in this category. I have never owned one but I have been around several and shot several. There are several friends who shoot field target with them and they hold there own against much more expensive rifles. It’s a good platform that can grow with you or you can leave it stock. Some calibers are more accurate than others in the crossman barrels you may want to research this I’m sure there are many marauder owners on this forum.

I did look at the marauder. They are very nice guns for the money. The only thing I dont like is the sound they make. Maybe I'm just being picky honestly. The fx impact has forever changed my expectations of a pcp

I say maybe consider the Dreamline. If you are ok with used there were some great deals in the classifieds on Daystate huntsmans/ Regals also check AOA preowned I saw a couple of decent prices on Brococks and Bsa’s.

Well you only killing paper, you could turn the Marauder down some & it should be super quiet. I only shot a couple old Marauders and at full power I thought they was pretty quiet. For 500.00 and new, kind of hard to expect the same thing as the Impact. Keep watching the classifieds, you might get a good deal on a used high dollar super quiet gun. happy shootin.

You may want to consider an AA S200. It will need a moderator, I think you would like it.

Second the AA S200. They are closer to 600-650, but well built and worth every penny. They have been made quite a while, but you rarely see used ones for sale. Owners won't turn them loose.

Marauders are also still a good value, and if you're patient they can be scored on sales for ~360. There are a million parts and mods for the Marauder. But if the only thing you do is spend $50 for an "MDS" lightweight hammer, it will almost double the rifle's shot count with no other changes except a little retuning. The Mrod isn't flashy, but it is super easy to tune and probably has the best trigger of any airgun under #500. If somebody wants to argue best, at least quite nice.

I"m also a big fan of the BSA Scorpion SE, which you might find at that price point if you find a decent sale. Pyramid Air has a birthday sale every year about the third week of May with good discounts. That is when I bought my Scorpion SE a few years ago.

I'm considering the marauder. Alot of info is available on them. Knowing me it will start as a backyard gun and end up tuned like one I saw on here shooting heavy slugs.

I went in blind and purchased the Fortitude Gen 2 as my first. It comes in tomorrow along with a 4-16x44 Whiskey 3 scope.
