bigbuck28,
For me, "quiet" is relative. What are your parameters? yards, acres, miles?
A few details I have learned for my "quiet" needs at short distances which I define as up to 25-50yds in my City neighborhood.
Having a "tuned" air rifle is the first place I started for "quiet". There are many posts on how efficiency and "quiet" go hand in hand.
All my squirrel mitigation has been done with a few different "tuned" airguns, all of which were <90dB's.
What do others think? The parameters are endless as you will hear.
I'm liking my "quiet" .25 for whatever comes my way. Power and quiet to 50yds for me. Boom done.
Know your boundary parameters, pick an airgun that suits your style and price. Tune it the best you can and ask questions if you don't know. Decide whether it works in your environment.

- Benjamin Maximus hunter .22 w/tko LDC, way quiet.
- Benjamin Marauder .22 , more power and 50% quieter than the Maximus.
- FX Dreamline .25 w/Donny FL set at .17/.22 or Low for the lowest dB and highest FPE at any distance to 50yds than any of the other 2 airguns. Period.
