Looking for diy ideas - adjustable rear rest

First of all, I don't like using bipods but more into tripod setups, and definitely don't like any rear bag for BR shooting. I am seeing limitations for both when shooting multiple rings out at longer distance.
For this reason I built a one-piece-rest couple winters ago, dedicated to my airgun BR games.

I have a list of pros and cons for this rig, but pretty much works well for BR.

For my next project I am looking for diy ideas to separate the rear rest and make it also fully adjustable. Mainly, because I have also a PB heavy 308 on the go as well, and this rest in the above picture may not hold on to a much greater recoil.
I have some parts laying around in my drawers from my 3d printer aluminum extrusion cage, if I could re-purpose that would be great.
Show me how you did it?

The rest above is not a hard clamp but more as a free sliding sled. Yes, there is a front clamp but I set it loose and slides F-R freely, I even put a non friction tape on jaws, the rear resting point is just a simple "U" shape (exactly this picture is old sorry I forgot to check).

The Impact above have some recoil, depend of a tune, but mostly forward - as the hammer weight moves. The Leshiy2 recoils backward just for example.
The 308 PB recoil is substantially amplified.

These are popular rear mechanical rests at our club:

1st. Bravo Zulu, on the bench rest sled.
2nd. Are you making these to sell?
If so how much? And will it work with FWB 300 target.?
I am interested.
you should apply for a patent

My new PQP rear rest is in the mail, ETA June 6th. Ver 1 narrow fit.
The brown truck arrived today afternoon, and I refuse to pay $143 CAD to UPS at delivery !!!!

- Taxes: 48.90 (which I was willing to pay)
- Brokerage fee: 94.13 which I refuse to pay, but cannot skip it how the Invoice is cleverly constructed.

This what UPS crooked business is doing once the goods gets over to Canadian side of the border.
I didn't accept the package UPS can do whatever they want with it, send it back to a seller PQP.
And I go from there.

I asked UPS to email me the receipt, visited my customs office at the cargo airport 45 minutes away, paid the tax and emailed the stamped Invoice back to UPS.
Got this PQP rest delivered today, all look good and I saved myself $94 from UPS brokerage fee.
And from now on, nomore purchasing anything from US if the shipping involves the big couriers, nomore bs UPS or Fedex or Purolator... I can accept USPS or will buy from EU only.
