As of earlier this year he made the shop by appointment only. Not much interest in airguns here in our area. He has another business also and wasn't getting enough walk-in customers at the airgun store to warrant keeping the doors open every day.

I'm a Canadian, and had been living in NY for almost a decade. At the end of that decade I got a job in Eugene, OR. So I rode my motorcycle out from NY to Eugene. It was a hot summer day and I stopped in the store (the only store) in Brogan OR. When I walked in, I asked for a burger. They offered me fries or "tater tots" with the burger. The whole town was sitting down at the counter, it seemed. When I asked "what's a tater tot?" everyone looked at me and laughed. We call them "potato fritters" in Canada. The store was the diner, grocery store, hardware store, and USPS office. I explained I was coming from NY. That got an extra laugh. Then when I said I was Canadian they laughed a little less heartily.
