Looking for recommendations for PCP pistol

Hi all,

New to the forums, and first post! I recently returned to the world of airguns. I just picked up a Diana Bandit for a relatively low price. Absolutely love the gun, but I've recently grown fond of competition style pistols. I really like the designs of the Air Arms Alfa, Listone Victor, and even the Air Max Precision MKII.

I'm looking to purchase another pistol with a similar design to the above-mentioned pistols, but, would like to keep the price under $350. The Alfa is out of the question, and I can't seem to find the Listone anywhere for under $550 (apparently they used to go for around $300). I was considering the Precision MKII but the only one I see is on mrod-air and I cant seem to get in touch with anyone there.

I'd appreciate any suggestions or guidance!

The Crosman 1701P might be close your price range. I have one, and quite enjoy it. Good trigger, Lothar Walther barrel, really nice gun.

It retails for $375, but I understand if you buy it from Crosman it's 25% off with the AGNATION code, and free shipping on Fridays. Double check the info. Do be aware it requires rear sights. That'll run another $50 or so, and if I remember correctly qualifies for the 25% off,

If the code still works, that'd get you into the gun for about your budget.

It comes adjusted for about 6 fpe, and is setup for 10 meter shooting. I haven't adjusted anything. If you want more energy, you can adjust for that. I get about 60 shots per fill on my gun. I've put thousands of rounds through the gun, just works and is very accurate to 10 meters. Can't vouch for further than that as I've used it as an indoor winter shooter

Thank you for the recommendation. I came very close to purchasing the 1701P but decided against it primarily because it doesn't come in .22. I may have to reconsider, assuming I can't get my hands on a PP700 or PP750. Fortunately I wouldn't have to worry too much about the sights - I have a couple of pistol optics and dovetail conversion rails sitting around

Nation,

I just acquired a 1701P from Crosman a few weeks ago. Next to my 1720T (both of them) I love this gun. I currently have a Red Dot on it, but I'm going to put some rear iron sights on it in the future. Gets loads of shots, and it's accuracy is excellent. You will not be disappointed with this gun!!

1701P 👍👍

Use the AGN discount code and then use your savings and ditch the plastic grips and get yourself a set of Vernon Austin laminate grips. 😉

A Crosman 1701P will shoot RINGS around any of the other candidates in accuracy; not power... unless and until you drill-out the transfer port. See the download-

P.S.- Vernon Austin also offers walnut grips. Regardless, the original plastic grips make decent 50 yard air pistol targets.

...I am temped to jump ship on the Ataman AP16...I could buy four of these...one is sure to be good...

...the biggest issue for me is that the cocking lever is on the wrong side, IMHO...

Do it! I'm loving my little PP700 single shooter! And this is from a guy who's first PCP was an Impact (yes, I'm easily persuaded by peer pressure). LOL!
