Evening everyone,

I promised myself earlier this year that I would not purchase any new RC airplanes this year and none in 2025. So far so good, still several to build. Unfortunately my wife has noticed my lack of spending money on things she disapproves of so something must be done. I’ve given some thought to a bull pup since i don’t have one. The only specs I have are .177 or .25, pcp, wood stock, seven shot or more magazine and I want to operate the action similar to a biathlon action. Quick, smooth and reliable. Lower power scope or red/green dot sight, it has to look good and carry well and be able to live in a soft case in my truck. Cost under $500. What is available that fits these specs?

This just fits most of your desires. It's fairly new, the people that have one all seem to like them. It's plastic, so you don't have to worry about banging it up in the truck, or in the woods.
The only non-fitting to your idea is that it's a .22 . Which..."isn't" a bad thing ! Nothing wrong with a .22 .
The "handle" at the front can be left in place, it a flat closeout piece can be screwed on to replace the handle.

@shaman , what is the splatter that is hitting the target? I wouldn’t think it would be lead dross because it’s appearing at the same time that the pellet is hitting. If it were dross there would be a time lapse after the pellet hits. I don’t think it’s back splash because there is not backing to cause ricochet?
i slowed it down..looks like it is coming form the black protion of the splatter target.
looks to me like there are thick layers to the splatter target and when the pellet stuck it's splashed it like dropping a stone in water

I am sorry, but I have not a photo of the back of the target... It's full with holes.. And when the pellet hit a edge of the hole it changes his trajectory and you will hear this splatter

Get the new Snowpeak P35X

powerfull enough, wooden stock, magazine for 8 projectiles in .25, regulator, very quiet and precise !

Here i am shooting with different projectiles at 50 meters:
(sorry, but i have not put english subs here)

That is a sweet looking gun but super lacking power. 36J in .25 is a deal killer. That is a super bummer.

Don't look at the spec in sites :) They are wrong.. I measured it - in .22 caliber about 50-52J out of the box and in .25 caliber - 65-70J with potential in .22 up to 60J and in .25 up to 75J

I've been looking at this one 210 bucks. They also have it 23 for $249 and 25 for $355

Two guys that shoot at our club bought Akela's and they were very inaccurate. One guy sold his and the other returned his for a barrel replacement which was no better than the first barrel. Granted this is only a sample size of 3 but it bears taking note.
Thank you for that note, I was starting to get all excited then started wondering and I read your comment. Getting the bug for a .17 and trying to figure out why, I'm running out of space for another rifle, can't see my garage floor as it is.

I bought the akela in 177 from airgun revisions. With crosman premier hollow points it shoots nickel size groups at 30 yards. The challenge for me with the bullpup is since the scope is so high the point of impact varies pretty significantly between 10 yards and 40 yards. She's very accurate off the bench with cheap pellets. But in the woods on a Target as small as squirrel head it may require some quick hold over or hold under compensation.
Where as my 22 Marauder is pretty much dead on a squirrel brain from 10 yards to 40.

What you need is a laser sight. Mount it as close as possible to the bore and you can use it as both a close range sight and a range finder.
