Looking for the most accurate 25 cal @ 100

Yes, no brand is flawless but hard for any mass produced product compete with a full custom, fully hand built with hand picked barrel and hand finished by Mike. OP asked for MOST accurate and people spend thousands on finding that one barrel so 1000 dollar more to have Mike find that barrel is a bargain. There aren’t many people in the world that knows how to pick a barrel and on top of that knows how NOT to ruin that good barrel. Compared to what PB precision shooters spend on long range rigs a Thomas is just a toy. A 22LR can run well pass 6k before scope and ammo, AI rigs fly pass 10K in an heart beat and some people still change barrels.

That being said I’ve shot 1/2 MOA with my lowly mass produced Crowns many times when I get lucky with wind so only OP can determine what he is willing to pay for MOST accurate. When someone ask for MOST accurate he/she usually understand the cost and work go along with MOST accurate which is only fractionally better(if shooter is good enough to tell) than very accurate while costing substantially more………or just being a newbie! Hahahaha
I tend to agree with you. There were two Thomas in the 100Y finals and they finished 1st and 16th. Hard to say which is MOST accurate since Daystate had 5 out of the top 10. At this level I think it all boils down to the shooter…. I think Jeffrey would have won with my gun or Nicolay’s gun, or really any of the guns in the top ten.

Ted won EBR one year shooting the 34 grainers at 830fps. Don't let speed dictate your choice as anything shot at over 900fps is going to give more wind drift on pellets anyway. It's a gun, guy, experience trifecta that seems to win, no magic number.
This is very true but all the guns I’ve looked at with shorter barrels don’t make enough to push a 34 to 830. I don’t care for the longer barrels on a regular barrel. My m3 has a 600 mm barrel and shoots 34 g faster than i need but it’s a bit too finicky for my liking. Will have to find out about a thomas in 25 i guess

But if your going to spend the coin to get out and give this a go why not give it the best shot you can. I may not be the absolute best shooter ( not that bad though) and if i dont give everything how can i expect good results. Besides if i won it would pay for it all! 😂 😂

Don’t forget the $4K scope to go with your $4K+ gun! Rings, rest, etc…. Oh what the heck, let’s call it $10k. 🤪

Very true, there are other intrinsic values too!

1. If you don’t get the best then you will never know your best
2. If you don’t get the best you will always be left with wanting and pondering what if instead of focus on your shooting skills
3. Even if you didn’t win with the best you will still look good!
4. A Ferrari is still a Ferrari even when parked!!!
5. The wind will still be your best wingman when it comes to excuses regardless of the gun 😜

I would like to hear from some Taipan owners that have shot out to 100. I don't have the right scope yet to really see how mine do.
Taipan Vet Standard .25 - 50gr AVS HP/BTs .254 - 20shots @ 75yrds (backyard limited) @ 930fps - 96fpe - fell off the reg. there at the end

Reason im asking is if you look at results from ebr and rmac you see verry few different riffles mentioned mostly fx and daystate. Also after searching thru various mfg web sites there are few guns in 25 that seem to have the power to shoot 34 g pellets to a velocity that would be good @ 100. Its a different story in 30 cal which to me is a bit surprising. I personally think the 34jsb should give an edge but really don’t want to go electronic and the ghost has yet to be proven. I have a m3 and its pretty good just seems to need too much attention to keep them in the 10 ring. Would love to find a 25 that i could pick up and shoot put it in the case till next time and have shoot like it did last time.
I recrown the barrel of my Daystate Wolverine HP HR .25 Cal and believe me, it is now accurate at 100 yards, indeed accurate!

Is your vet shooting those 50gr @930 stock? Other than HS adjustments.
No. Ported/Polished Valves - Heavier & Lengthened HS - Shimmed Valve Spring - ER Power Plenum (1) - re-build Huma Regulator - much re-worked Trigger - LW Polygonal 24in. Barrel (hand lapped) - DIY Shroud - STO Sarissa Moderator - Burris 8-40x50 Scope & DIY hack job on the Laminated Stock. It's a fun project, mostly just shoot paper, few critters when they're stupid enough to cross the line into my yard. lots of skunks.
