Looking Pre / Post Filter Recommendations

Hey everyone, I'm curious if anyone has recommendations for a pre-dryer type filter that would work with an Air Venturi Hill EC3000. I'm also curious if anyone has recommendations on any post filtering methods. Is there a preference to which I should use? Is it safe to double up with pre and post filters?

Thank you for any help!

You don't need a pre-filter. Look up what is a Molecular Sieve and buy one of those tower filters full of it to extract moisture from the high pressure air. Make sure to mount it vertically. Buy something recommended, be weary of the construction especially cylinder wall thickness these things need to safely accommodate 4500psi. The Tuxing filters seem legit, I'm risking my life with one ¯\_(ツ)_/¯ You can also use a cotton filter to catch oil in addition to a Molecular Sieve. You do not need carbon filtration, that is for eliminating odors in an SCBA system.

If you aren't being cheap you can just skip all that and call Joe at Top Gun Airguns.

This is what you're looking for:

Thank you! I will do some research on what you mentioned first to get some further knowledge at the least and make my choice from there. I own a Leshiy 2 and Impact M3, I figure it may just be worth the money to preserve them as best as possible. The one on Top Airgun does seem nice with how it works, would protect my pump as well. Appreciate the help.

Just wanted to say thank you for all of everyone's help, I went with the Alpha filter in the end. I couldn't be happier. The quality is absolutely top notch.

If anyone sees this thread it is absolutely recommended. Joe is also extremely helpful and was willing to answer all questions I had. I feel very satisfied with this purchase even if it was expensive.

Here's my rig. I have the Brancato Alpha filter after the stock filter on the Hill. My rig has worked flawlessly and the dual filters really cull out the moisture.

Thank you for the pics, I have debating how to mount and was going to do exactly the same! I put a little rubber pad on the leg so far to help grip and avoid metal on metal. It's so heavy duty I figure it won't even matter. Going to order some tube clamps now.

Hello fellow airgunners!

I purchased a JB Alpha In-Line Moisture Filter some time ago along with an extra cartridge but can't find any instructions, procedures, or videos how to correctly replace the cartridge. It looks like a simple matter of unscrewing one end, and popping in a new cartridge, but it wouldn't surprise me if my simple brain is oversimplifying this. Of course, I want to do it properly so does anyone out there have that information (a link, video, .pdf, etc.) that you could post or send based on your experience would be fantastic, along with any other tips.

Also, is there a rule of thumb for how often the cartridges should be replaced (I'm sure based on how many compressor hours or "X hours or X months/years -- whichever comes first")? I am currently using an Omega Super Charger (from 2014) and the compressor is operated in a controlled low-humidity basement environment here in PA. It gets operated once a month or so to refill or top off a JB Great White Tank.

Any tips, guidance, and experience would be GREATLY appreciated! Thanks...Jeff
