Looking to buy first gun

And I'll have to say this again.

Make ten legitimate posts. Anything airgun related. Wait ten days. Don't bother if you don't intend on being a active member, only wanting to have access to classifieds. IMHO

The most irritating post the forum gets several times each week!!!!!

Thus to me is the most irritating post we get on AGN https://www.airgunnation.com/threads/this-is-my-most-dreaded-forum-post.1301834/

The Texan has a good reputation. AEA not so much. Seneca is more of a gray area. The Dragonfly seems to be well regarded, but having owned an Aspen I wouldn't recommend it. Seneca does have good prices though.

The guns that seem to have the best reputation in that price range are the Avenger/AvengeX series. Benjamin Marauders, Beeman underlevers and the Umarex Notos all seem to be pretty well though of too.

@Jmj32988Welcome to AGN. I have no idea what your budget is, but you may find a few ideas in the thread linked below. It was created with folks like yourself in mind.

Got it! Sorry guys I’m definitely not only here to buy, but that would be the start of the fun. I’m interested In learning from the guys who have been in the game for awhile now. I’ve read the rules now and once again my apologies.
Welcome!
The rules may seem somewhat harsh to the new person but are in place to protect the member's and you from the no-good scammer's that are out of control especially during the holidays. This is a great source of information and comradery in the sport of air guns. Stick around, have some fun, contribute with meaningful posts, and before you know it Bob's your uncle! and you are balls deep in this sport! 🙃

What are you looking at doing with the rifle?
What experience do you have with airguns?
Does the rifle NEED to be a PCP or would you be ok with a single stroke or a pump gun?

There are a few out there that would fit for you. Let us know a litlte more and we are all more than happy to be enablers and help you spend your hard earned money!

Haha Yes indeed. No experience with a pcp but looking to buy my first one and get started. Not for sure but from my research it would have to be atleast a 457 or a 50. I’m looking at the 457 bc the guys that I spoke with said it would be plenty enough for large game, and they have a few more ammo options. I’m mainly deer hunting and maybe do some hog hunting. My stand is on 5,000 acres and it’s setup on a power line right now overlooking food plots and feeders. The shots would prob be 20-30 yds. I would like to be able to take longer shots down the power line if need be.

Your 100% sure you can legally hunt with them in your state..correct.

You could look at an AEA Zeus, Umerax Hammer, or a Air Force Texan.

Just know that you will need a good compressor as you WILL be going through air like crazy. But it will be fun

I would personally be thinking both a compressor and a couple of retired SCBA tanks to run a big bore.
