I have the Gen 2 Marauder in .22. 100 yards is a very long shot for the gun. I get 30 to 40 shots per fill, not the 50 you wish. I do like the synthetic stock,
The .25 will typically give fewer shots per fill, but the heavier pellet bucks the wind much better than a .22.
The total kit ran about $1200 and included:
Marauder Gen 2 $500
Scope (BSA 4-14 FFP) $250
hand pump $200
4500 lb carbon fiber bottle and valve $300
Extra magazines $30
Pellets about $10 per 500
You can get a kit with a Center Point scope, and they are very acceptable
Air bottles can be filled at Paintball shops. If you get the bottle, skip the pump.
The $1000 limit really does limit you to something in the Marauder range. It's a good gun, just make sure you get a Gen 2 version.
Crickets get very good reviews as do any FX, Daystate or Air Arms..
