Loving this Hatsan Bully everytime I shoot it

What was all new to me was actually using the graduation marks on windage and elevation. Again, it’s all about ones comfort zone(along with having the time to actually learn and practice using holdover) and I’ve always just stuck with using the crosshairs where they intersect. Today is a beautiful sunny day, so I decided to step out of the comfort zone-
top left target, the bottom right shot at 5:00 was me aiming right at the bullseye with a sight in distance of 35 yards. One hash mark up and one hash to the left put the next four shots at the bullseye. I have to add that I’ve already gone thru one and a half magazines at this point when I first started shooting out to 60 yards. This is for the reason of the shot 3/4” below the bullseye. I knew I needed to top off.
so I top off the gun to 3600 psi, and aimed for the second target on the right, still with the same holdover up and side to side as the left target. Well, with a full fill it ended up hitting exactly high above the bulls for three shots. So I learned something here- at full top off I can still aim at the bulls eye with no holdover out to 60 yards, and have the same accuracy for where I’m sighted in at 35 yards. So, I slammed the next three shots right into the bullseye, and that drifter just to the right was just from movement by me at trigger pull. No biggie, cause if that was a squirrels head, I still would’ve nailed it.
so, all in all, a great morning with good learning. All this will do is bring up my confidence in taking the longer shots.
Bully specs- 30 caliber, averaging 870 FPS, using Hatsan Vortex 44.75 grain domed pellets. Hammer adjustment screw back out 12 full turns CCW from the factory setting. Best performance is at around 3,000 psi, and currently at a full 3600 psi fill I can get at least 25 optimum velocity shots due to the hammer spring adjustment.

Is the gun not regulated? On a regulated gun fill pressure usually doesn't change the point of impact until you drop below the regulated pressure.

@Heavy Impact- no, not regulated. I wish it was! Believe me, I am on the hunt for a reg that I can set at around 2,900 to 3,000, as that is the guns sweet spot. I’m actually awaiting on member Cootertwo, who sourced an Altaros reg for his .357 Bully. If his results prove positive, I’m making the call to Altaros.

@Smitty- I sourced the bottle band for eBay UK. If you do a search on eBay for “PCP bottle clamps”, his ad should come up. You can’t miss it, cause he’s the only one that makes these. He sells two sizes, one for a 60mm diameter and one for smaller(can’t remember). Also, he has three widths available. I picked the widest width at 45mm, which gave me 5 picatinny lugs. It’s exactly 1 3/4” wide. It is split at the bottom, and relies on whatever picatinny adapter you’re using it for to clamp the split together. It also comes with 5 lug pic rails at each side, and has a curved cut out on the top for those rifles that have shrouds really close to the bottle.
if you do order, and you have a carbon fiber bottle, make sure and leave him a message at check out telling him that, cause he has ones I believe at 61.5mm cause the carbon fiber bottles are wider than steel ones. Cost was about $45 which included shipping.

We I’d hate to take business from a fellow airgunner but for u socal locals I could probably print a few of the bands in PLA if you give me your desired dimensions... local pickup or u pay ur own shipping lol.
I actually made a very similar design to out two rails on a scope. I just need to upsize the scope ring to a bottle. Need the external diameter in metric. Need to know how much clearance between bottle and barrel shroud. And lastly how long/many rail lugs.

Nice shooting Augie I’ll have to get my target up now and I ordered 5 tins of those Vortex 44.75s to try out with my Bully the other day from what I have read the 30 and 357 Vortex are the same as JSBs.

Thanks, Jim. I’ve recently thought about a 3D printer, and it would be mainly to design and create PCP trinquettes. Who would have thought a 3D printer would be a part of this Darkside, Rabbit hole, lol.
I was measuring the thickness of the stock material, by way of the butt pad. I’m going to order this QD insert from Impact Weapons, that a fellow AGN member linked me to. Anyway, while I had the rubber butt pad off, I noticed how spacious the inside of that compartment was, for even more extra mags, Allen wrenches, etc. it’s large enough for extra picattiny adapters, also. Anyway, I’d like to come up with a hinged buttpad for that, and I think doing it with a 3D printer is the way to go.
Barrel shroud bands, mag holders, spare battery holders for your rangefinder, all the ideas for that printer are endless. But, I know myself, and that’s just taking on another hobby. I’ve narrowed my hobbies to just two, PCP guns first, then reloading for powder burners come second.
Quick question to you knowledgeable 3D folks- can different colors be had, for the 3D materials? If so, are the colors endless, meaning whatever we want, or just limited to a few?

Sure but some filaments are better then others just need to read up on it. This is just a sample of what’s out there.

Most colors are available with lots of print materials from hard and tough to rubber like. I'm prototyping your picatinny bottle band right now.

People share 3d designs on the internet so you can search for what you want, maybe find something close, download it, cut it up, resize it and use the parts you want rather than trying to design everything from scratch. Saves a lot of time.

If you look closely at that pic that shows the gap of the bottle clamps split, that pretty much the gap, about 1/8”. Maybe even a hair less, and your picatinny adapter for flashlight or bipod will cinch it around the bottle tightly. If you have a bottle like mine, with a logo on it, I would make it large enough to wrap around the logo. I asked the seller I bought it from, in hindsight I should’ve had him make one to wrap around the hatsan logo then that would place it deeper into the bottle, instead of out close to the end. He said he could’ve done that, but the cost would’ve been higher cause now it’s custom and not a part of what he already stocks made.
Yeah, and I’m glad I got the widest he offers. It’s just more surface area clamping onto the bottle, and a pic rail adapter fits nicely with hon overhang past the clamp. I wish it was a six lug though, instead of the five that I have, and then my adapter would’ve been centered on the clamp perfectly.

100 grit sandpaper the inside until it fits where you want. Wrap a full sheet of sandpaper around a 2.5 inch pipe, open up the band a little and slide it over a few times until it fits.

I thinking to cut the scope rail have no problems with that but its realy long.
The mod withe the shorter shroud is interesting too.
But first will wait for the altaros report.
With regulator on bottle and maybe a extraplenum the bottle is maybe longer than the cuted barrel shroud.
