Tuning Low power Impact tune reg settings question

I have my .25cal Impact MKII tuned to 90bar and it shoots the 25gr JSBs at 900fps on MAX and 700fps on #4 (Monster Wheel). I went out today and lowered the reg pressure to 80 bar and only lost a few fps off the top and about 25 fps on #4. I then set the reg at 100 bar and it was pretty much like the 80 bar setting. Should there be a bigger difference on changing 10 bar up or down on the reg? On a side note, my FX radar was not picking up a lot of the shots. I installed fresh batteries before I went out so that was not the problem.

Lower reg pressure will not get you much lower speed. Higher reg pressure will get you lower power because the hammer will have harder time to open the valve. Lower your preload to minimum and the raise your reg pressure till you get to the lower limit of the speed you want to shoot with power wheel in min. Very easy to do and you will get far more efficiency out of each shot. Almost all my FX guns I go straight to 150 bars and some of them I tuned it down to 8 FPE.

Very interesting. Thanks. I went with the low bar tune to get the gun quiet as there are no moderators allowed here.

The ultimate FX Impact Compact?…!

found one on AGN Corvid.

To be honest I am struggling to find others. I keep going back to a "prophet" 115bar reference,

I am however sure I either seen (Video) or read at least one other Impact 115bar "efficient" claim,

please keep us inform of your findings,

good luck.

Thanks for the info.
