I would say sub12fpe. I love them at 5-12fpe

It starts with the 1986 1377.
My 1720 is a real gem and the 1701 isn’t far behind.

I want a 2021 Challenger, but unit my 10m shooting improves, I am not worthy of a eternity match rifle.

The HW30 rules them all!

Yes sir, for a Remington I believe. I can see with it pretty well in my dark basement shooting 10m. Outdoors it it really nice.

What I really learned about low power shooting from my 1377 is the while many different ammo types will work, the wadcutter really allows a low power gun punch harder than expected.

I have a mint old 20 caliber P1 (HW45) that I have a love/hate relationship with. Hate that I can't shoot it well. Love the challenge of trying to shoot it well. At least for a little while. It's no fun to cock for long sessions.

Here's a laugh. I'm so bad with it, I converted it to 177 to make missing my targets more affordable .

Ron, I don't know if this will help you, but try a recoiless pistol (SSP or CO2) to build your confidence and then try mastering the P1.
Lively rifles don't bother me but I don't like shooting those jumpy spring pistols. My HW70 isn't too bad.
I think my easiest to shoot pistol is a Gamo Compact. But it was only $100 when I bought it 40 years ago. I got a pretty good deal on another last year.

I got so much better with a firearm pistol after a lot of practice in the basement with my Gamo. I only shot the Gamo one handed so a two hand hold seems easier.
Concentrate on the front sight!

Yup!!! I got soooo much better with PB rifles too after shooting airguns.

It’s funny, I usually do a lot of pb shooting or at shooting, rarely both in any given week. Low power for me is a couple of rebuilt 760’s, a restored 140 and a restored Blue Streak.

A neat little Italian underlever made in the 1950's. Brescia. Pop up tap is the rear sight. I had to make the front sight. Nash used to shoot it when he was a little guy. Weston in the background. Mason shooting a Gamo Compact.
