New guy to here! Got a maverick a couple weeks ago 600mm barrel, installed a 700cc tank and slug kit. I'm only getting around 48-50 shots from 250 fill to 150 bar seems really low with the 700cc tank. First reg is 155 and second is 130 power wheel is on 7. I'm shooting the fx 34 grain pellets at 935. any help would be greatly appreciated!!

i would say back your hamerspring tension as it keeps the valve open for longer than it should...may i ask if you have a slug power kit installed?

Hammer is way to heavy. You can either take the slug kit weight out. Or you can raise the regulator about 20-30 bar. The gun’s got a big Plenum. It shouldn’t need a lot of hammer. To push 34gr I’d expect it would do it fine stock around 115 bar on regular with factory hammer weight

I agree with Mrshosted. To much hammer weight Take slug kit out, may be wasting air. You dont need it unless you shooting heavy slugs. And try dropping rear reg. You may be able to get away with 110 or 115. I’m running mine at 175 and 130 pushing nsa 38.5 at 930 and I get 60 shots on a fill with 580 cc tank and no slug kit. I also changed both gauges to the wika 28mm. They are more accurate.

Okay I'll take the slug kit out. It came installed from the dealer. The hole in the factory pellet probe go up or down? Also the barrel should I turn it back over to the pellet port instead of slug? Thanks for everyone's input!

Hole in probe goes down. Try using the duel port. It will be less of a bottle neck. The fx duel probe is not that big compared to the Huma or Ernest port. Also the probe screw the one that holds the probe in. Look where it is positioned. I had to call FX for something and the technician said it should be slightly forward from center.

I took out the slug kit I'm getting 475 fps on power wheel 7 and internal hammer spring maxed out. Any thoughts?

Wow that’s one extreme to the next. I wonder if the right hammer weight is in the gun. Other than that. May have to call fx. Hell call the guy to bought it from. Something is not right.

You said you installed a 700cc bottle. Did you ever do a shot count with factory bottle to compare to. Did you use the factory bottle valve or did the 700cc bottle come with one. Try swapping bottles and do shot count with factory one. Something may be wrong with valve. Also you can verify gun tank pressure with your compressor or scuba tank gauge

I got it shooting around 900 fps without the slug kit. I was on the phone with Ken SPAW for a while today to get it figured out. The wierd part is it has the exact same shot count as when the slug kit was installed.

Zeringue, I never did a shot count with the factory cylinder I installed the 700cc as soon as I got the gun. I'll try and put the factory back on and see what the the difference is. You were right on the regulator settings my second reg ended up being right at 115

My Maverick Compact in .22 and a 300 cc bottle shooting 18.3 at 900 fps gives me 110 shots. Regs are at 105 and 130. You should easily get more than that from yours. Hammer spring is on number 6.

I put the factory cylinder back on and only got 32 shots out of it. I sent FX an email so hopefully they have some ideas.
