Lubricate yoke seal or not ?

I have been trying to replace seal on my Interspiro air tank between the yoke and valve with Buna 70 and 90, 212 and 214 orings for a 7/8-14 thread, which I checked with my thread gages. Nothing seals, very minute leaks, can’t get anything to seal lubricated, would dry work? Thanks Rick

Dry only . #212 preferably 90 Buna. Hand tighten the valve , then a few taps with a rubber mallet to fully seat the valve.

Hi Herb, I got the yoke sealed with the 212 buna 90 oring, but the valve still had a small leak over the weekend. I found a small fitting on the back of the valve with a weep hole that was leaking , tighten it up, looks good know. Do you know what this fitting does? Thanks again for your help. Rick
