Lucky Red Squirrel...

On my property we have a lot of black walnut trees and it is a bumper crop year for nuts. There are hundreds on the driveway, grass, etc. The squirrels, deer, crows all have at them as the season progresses. After work I gather some of the nuts and set them up in my backyard at ranges from 40 to 66 yards. Them I plink them, they make a satisfying smack sound when hit and fly off impressively. I usually have squirrels foraging while I’m plinking. Today a small red jumped right up on my 66 yard setup and took the nut I was about to shoot. I could see it clearly through my Aztec Emerald. He a brash little fellow, then I switched over to my 50 yard target nuts and there it was again stealing my target. Just thought I would share. I’m pretty much shelling the nuts for them. Today I had that red and a gray foraging right among my target arrays. A testament to the stealth of a quiet PCP.
