M-Lok or Pic / Weaver

What is your preference?

Just as we’ve evolved from the old style dovetail rails I’m seeing more and more rifles going M-Lok.

Am I going to have to consider changing over?

What are the advantages over Pic mounting rails?

M-lock weighs less than having a gun full of Picatinny style rails. And when it comes to forends, M-lok is lower profile. More comfortable to grip, too.

keymod is another way picatinny rails are attached.

Not completely true. M-lok and Keymod are systems to attach accessories without needing to use sections of Picatinny rail. Both systems do allow you to add rails sections for compatibility with Picatinny mounts.

And we are talking accessory mounting. For optics you are still looking at Picatinny, Weaver, and dovetails.

that area slipped my mind as i just use them for rails lol
