Tuning M3 first reg super slow recovery rate

This week I had a first Reg o ring failure so I decided to take it apart and change all the o rings. I polished also the piston face and the adjustment screw with 3m polishing papers as usual. I cleaned meticulously all the holes to be sure nothing was clogged in. I set the first reg to 190 bar, left the second at 160 bar. I also do not hear the Plenum filling up from shot to shot.
This thing is driving me nut, why I’m getting such a slow recovery rate in your opinion?
Thanks

If it were me I’d open it up to around 220-230, shoot a few, then slowly close off back to 200 and leave it at 200. If you can, shoot tethered to tank at 250 bar during your testing, that way your guns bottle is always at max fill.

If you don’t know about the tethered procedure, don’t hesitate to ask

I have a Huma first stage reg kit installed on my MK2, and at 135 bar reg2 setting, I keep that Huma 1st stage set at 200 bar

Has your velocity dropped? You think it maybe your bottles valve is stuck?

Did you apply any lube to the reg1 parts upon reassembly? Like lube your washer springs?

What about the reg 1 pressure gage? Did you touch that like over tighten it down?

Did you change out every o ring within the first reg or just the one that faulted?

Hi
Normally that failure that you filmed in the video, is because your regulator is badly tuned, tighten the adjusting screw of the regulator until it bottoms out without forcing, then make sure that the rear cap that is responsible for opening the valve when the bottle is screwed, it's threaded to the maximum without forcing, then unscrew the adjusting screw of the regulator until it touches the cap without forcing, then retighten the adjusting screw one turn, screw the bottle and give a few shots, from here you can take it to the desired pressure turning very slowly and with the procedure of adjustment of these regulators to not damage it.
If that doesn't solve your problems, start researching the questions Bigragu asked you.

This is exactly what I’ve done. Thanks for your Reply

I also tried to change the gauge just in case something was clogged in but removing also the fill port for the same reason I had the 10x1 nbr 90 oring failing and that was the only oring I did not have as spare so I have to wait few days before trying again. The second reg was holding the same pressure but was much slower than usual.

If still dealing with this issue, my only advice is check your flow path that supplies HPA thru the reg, into the plenum. Its the best explaination but not knowing these rifles internally personally, its not the only. GL

(could be the gauge itself feeding very slow, that would be an easy test, swap gauge, but I find it unlikely)

I do not know anything about the tethered procedure.

I did not shot any round so I can not really say.

I applied some silicon grease on the orings and a light touch with my fingers on the washers stack.

The first gauge has not been touched, it’s still the factory one

Changed all the o rings

Open it and change the order of the rings inside it
