I understand why you don't use silicone grease on moving metal to metal contact, but what is the reason not to have any on threads? When I grease an O-ring set in a part that has threads, it is almost impossible to keep some silicone grease getting on the threads when I assemble it. What problems might that cause?
Seizing. No silicone lube on threaded parts. You are correct that some will get on threads that have an o ring next to them, if applied with your fingers. For those areas use a small stick like half of a chop stick to apply silicone to the o ring

Good to know. I do use a fine tipped laboratory type cotton swab to apply grease to O-Rings but some still ends up getting on the threads when installing the part / bottle. I guess I need to wipe most of the newly applied silicone grease off the O-ring so there is just a thin film on there and clean the threads and add PTFE or Moly every time I remove / install a bottle to keep the silicone off the threads. By chance does applying PTFE or Moly to the threads possibly help prevent galling etc., if some silicone grease ends up on there anyway?

FYI, I just checked and this issue is NOT mentioned in the FX M3 Owner's manual I have. I feel it absolutely should be there to avoid damaging the threads. Surely the folks at FX know this can happen yet they don't say a thing about whether the threads should be lubricated or not or with what type of lubrication. I wonder if any other airgun companies address this in their owner's manuals?

Nope, and I doubt any other manufacturer will either. To list all the dos and dont’s on pcp maintenance/servicing would end up being a hard copy book.

On a positive note, that’s what this forum is for! Guys like NERVOUSTRIGGER and others are always popping in to let you know the dos and donts with lubricating parts.

FX does cover the really important stuff like proper reg adjustment, power wheel use, etc

It's nice to have such after sale service like that, but i think it is not in my country... Everything about fx impact is expensive and the fx "authorized dealer" In here is suck... If i have to provide the "purchasing receipt" From the dealer for the after sale service then i'm done... The "authorized dealer" Don't give me the receipt... Anything happen with the m3 is the user responsible and we have to buy parts that also don't always available from the dealer... And very expensive too..

Most of the time fx in the USA just sends a new replacement parts for warranty here so that's sucks

I have assembl
Robinson, yes, @hristoss has the right O-ring size @ 7,5 x 1,5 NBR 90. Clean out the block area it screws into and the first reg housing itself. Lube very lightly with silicone O-ring grease and install with a slight snug turn, no "Crank" (24mm I believe). You can try to turn the O-ring upside down to use the other side if you don't have a replacement at the moment, just clean it and lube it. You should be good to go...unless there are other issues.
Let us know your results.
My oring has arrived and i just replace all the o ring, sanding the tip piston and the reg screw tip in the 1st reg.. And it solved... I can easily set the reg with 3 test...
I also learn in hard way, when I put my gun in the car suddenly the air in the gun is 0... After I take a look it is appear that part d96 19950 "oring 14*2" Is broken... Is it because the hot temperature in the car so it is broken?
Looks like this m3 is so vurnerable, while my local made air rifle is ok when I put it in the car..
And today something happen again... My second reg gauge needle is broke.
Any the gauge is expensive in my country.. Can anyone give any alternative for the gauge that can fit in it?
