FX M4 - best setup for bench?

Thank you. Interesting point on the additional whip on the 700 - would a carbon sleeve mitigate that ?
It helped, but introduced a new personality to mine on tuning it. There is never a free lunch. It's no longer sensitive to touching the barrel, but it's much more tedious to find a node for the envelope I want to operate in. If you're shooting pellets, there's no need to buy all the Gucci nonsense I bought for mine. Honestly right out of the box was the best it ever shot pellets and light slugs and the most accurate and the 700mm wasn't needed to achieve velocities well above what I wanted for those projectiles. It had a magic tune that the power wheel was all I needed to shoot 3 different projectiles with accuracy I would've sold a leg for in my rimfire competition days.

My 700 is less of an air pig, quieter, and more powerful than the other guys guns, but it's relegated to a bench or tripod due to weight. It's also the only gun constantly being tweaked.....that might be the owner as the main problem tho, I cannot leave well enough alone.

Have narrowed it down to 0.22 caliber, mainly to lower cost of ammo. If I ever decide to compete, may switch to 30 cal. Now just debating 600mm vs 700mm - I do love a shorter gun, but also want to maximize possible accuracy!
Barrel length doesn't determine accuracy but efficiency by not having to use higher reg pressure to get to your FPS, but i would go 25.
