FX M4 impact issues

We pushed some power tests on my buddies 500 mavericks and it can keep up close enough if you don't care about air use, within reason for noise. But you nailed why I bought it, and it wouldn't be so bad without the big ronin on there at all, im just preoccupied with quiet at all costs.... Also part of getting 700 mm. So I'm working up a design for a reflex mod to start working on since I like doing 2 hours of lathe projects before I start making sawdust. The threads for the harmonic weight weight be useful to have a harmonic tuning reflex mod.
Harmonic tuning? What’s that? Just kidding. I’ve been there. But had to leave that part of our “reloading benches” behind.

I feel like I got some work to do. Idk if I want to upgrade a new gun that should be awesome out the box! But i have no doubt there are some out the box special guns out there! My wife would blow a gasket if I start buying parts for this new gun lol. Might have to cash out some of my XRP crypto position for these upgrades
This axiom gets repeated not often enough. Buy your Impact and leave it alone. Unless you are willing to navigate Alice’s rabbit hole, leave it alone. There is a bad belief that the Impact needs all the horse muffins that are available for it to be a good gun.
Start adding slug power kits and such and you better have a dang good idea how it all works. In my mind FX has done a dreadful disservice to their brand by popularizing all the fooforah that is available. They not only condone but promote it through their YT influencers. The rule of unintended consequences took over and a whole bunch of new shooters just had to have the whiz bang hot gun that they could glitz up like an AR. With air guns that doesn’t work so well. An AR is simple compared to just about any regulated and tunable air gun. More thought has to go into how everything is going to coexist and balance and deciding if balance and a pleasant shot cycle are worth sacrificing just for a double digit gain in FPE.
The OP may have gotten a lemon and all makers put out an occasional lemon. As others have said, never buy a new release air gun. Usually they haven’t got all the bugs out yet.

And in case you forgot, this is the one I bought off you. Or kinda the one I bought off you.

Hopefully you was satisfied with your traction and purchase! I can't keep up with what I've traded or sold. Current project is this

The more I look at this the more a bottle and 500mm barrel to have in the empire of dirt sounds nice. The question is 22 or 25?
The little black .22 slugger is a sweetheart. I absolutely love shooting it. Power Blocked it because it was a pre Power Block gun but switched it back. Built some barrels for it but I’m back on a modded FX barrel. And no tension necessary. I will say this. If you have three compacts sitting sided by side in .22, .25 and .30 then shoot them for a year, the clear winner is the .22. For a multitude of reasons. Can the others do stuff, yes. But to put it bluntly, they aren’t happy about it. My little .25 slugger is 910fps. Any faster, and it will easily do it, the gun is just….well…wrong.

Pretty well nails it, although I might joke about the forums and getting 300blk to cycle subs and supers is like the impact has been for agn. 45% the guys don't understand how the machine actually works as a concept and the other. 50% just want the thing to be setup for 1 loading out of the box.

Now that I think about it, the only bewilderment posts I can remember are impact, Drs, or Panthera. The whiz bang models. And missing advertised carbon tubes. And it typically revolves around sale waves based on to utube chatter, except the bunk 25 liner debacle.

Don’t even get me going on the DRS. That gun was the nail in the coffin for me and FX. Unless something miraculous happens, the FX’s at my house currently are the last.

That bad lol? The panthera compact was best gun outside of my dreamline classic
Oh it shot great. But without going into detail, I will put it like this. I’m old school. If I buy a Rolex, I expect it to be made in Switzerland. I don’t care if you want to sell me a Rolex made somewhere else and it keeps just as accurate time, I want a Swiss made Rolex.

I have said it before and I'll say it again.

Airgun technologies.

FX can be great if you can figure them out, otherwise they're fickle bihtches, that once something breaks all hell breaks loose.

AGT vulcan 3 and uragan 2 come with accuracy and power right out of the box.
Their only downside is that they are very mechanical, so they are not the most quiet when you are hunting
