Well said. More often than not the issues are simple and people don't understand what the fx is. It's kind of a racecar when some people just want a factory Sportscar that they don't have to essentially setup themselves before they use it.I own several "FX",s ...std and modded.......i like the FX but i am not going to turn a blind eye to their MANY flaws..

This makes me want to guess that the valve rod broke, and they likely have a few m4 in there with the same issue.Well lead time for repair of my gun is 3-4 weeks
What color are they? . I deleted my most off topic tangent. For those that know the reference was to something that is every bit as much a controversial mechanical forum rabbit hole as fx modding/tuning/problems. The problem was a target audience of 1.I am tempted to discuss my shoes, but I’ll go with AGs. I have no favorite. All thirty or so drive me nuts. I think that the ugly stick Taipan Vet 2 .700 tact is my favorite .22 slugger at present and that was a real surprise. It melts into the bag, the crosshairs barely move during the shot cycle and it’s the closest to the consistency and accurate of my PB biathlon rifles, which are pretty good. Of course, it has a few little tweaks on the hammer and valve components. I guess it my only AG that isn’t a work in progress, for now.

This tells me inspection didn't do their job and a machine operator or purchasing bought off the parts or materials and said they're ok, which smells like the 25 liner issue of the past. New model volume production demand blues?
This is all so tiresome from a machinist standpoint. It was an issue when i was in aerospace and it's an issue today..... Machine shop drama and laziness seems to be a universal constant.
A simple oring change can take a few weeks if you’re the 62nd oring change in the line. What color are they? . I deleted my most off topic tangent. The m4 issues are new model teething issues and fx seems to have production waves like this since the m3, which introduces labor, material and qc issues too. They probably sell more volume than the next 2 premium brands combined (confirmation, correction appreciated)
So they dumped a regulator and may have missed the solution by a little and it sounds like the valve rods are failing too. I wish we could get some pictures of the part failures.
The people involved in this thread are an outlier of technicalities so the machinists had a little powow. It's data I would've been looking for a few years ago.
It’s akin to a Subaru STi for me. Pushed into the minds of youth by gymkhana influencers on YT. Not much performance in stock guise but lots of parts that would make it go faster, if you knew how to “use” them. No update to the engine in a decade and the fan base cottened on to the reality that they could get a lot more juice from the same squeeze elsewhere. No doubt there were diehard fans on the STi forums who had to grab their ball and go home when the rot set in. Such is life.Well said. They do supply an architecture and quality of machined part that makes it special, but it's flawed. The predatory social media marketing gets people too.
Spookey parallel. It’s akin to a Subaru STi for me. Pushed into the minds of youth by gymkhana influencers on YT. You rang? lololThis is a perfect woods walker. But definitely not the power capabilities of your Raptor. The feet in the pic are for the guy who hates feet in a photo.

To be fair, a “stock” impact can't either.been there the ghost can't even shoot slugs so 2k for a pellet gun.
Hopefully hunting boots are ok. But I don’t think even some ugly feet should distract a guy from a Evol. You rang? lolol

I do get what you’re saying. Been shocked a few times myself.Boots are not feet. lol.
You'd be surprised at how many people would be distracted and sit back in their chair muttering to themselves "Ewwwwwwww, why did he do that!
That photo is acceptable.
I don’t think guys are breaking valve rods. Unless you heard something I didn’t. Several people have posted pictures of the valve rod near the plenum and there’s black grease. Or is it silicone that’s contaminated? The one dude, who only seems to post when he’s drunk, showed a picture of the oring that came in his gun. It was not what came in our M3’s, MKII’s and definitely not the OG. He changed it out and now is in his glory. FX monitors these forums and because of them and guys like Mubhaur, they are aware. Maybe they tried something and made the gun worse. What color are they? . I deleted my most off topic tangent. I kinda want a super compact m3 build!! I've never tore down a impact but it cant be difficult. Just need a really clean work place and no kid's or wife interrupting me for a few hours!!!I don’t think guys are breaking valve rods. Unless you heard something I didn’t. I have an extra .25 barrel I built and I’m not using. A buddy would like to pick up an Impact so he can score that barrel off me. He’s torn between a M3 used or discounted or a M4. I kinda want him to get a M4 because no matter what he gets, it’s coming here for a complete tear down before it gets shot. I would like to see whats in his or see what’s different from the M3. There’s also a couple other things I’d like to see when I tune it. He already has a M3 but I have to resist pushing him in a direction just to satisfy my own curiosity. Getting another M3 to behave is not as exciting as something a little different.
Tearing it down is not usually the problem. Though you do have to be careful when you get to the plenum and unscrew it. Just have to have the right tools. A C1 tool and a nicely polished tool to clamp the valve rod are key. The issues can arise when you reassemble. You don’t want to shave an oring. Especially one that involves complete disassembly again. How you pressurize the gun initially and how you do the final torque on the backbone is also crucial to not having a gun out of whack.I kinda want a super compact m3 build!!
