Snowpeak M60B 30 cal getting the mods

I finally got my aluminum tube needed for the shroud to cover up the adapter. Also bumped the power up to 75 fpe @ 135bar.

Going to stay like this for a bit. I pulled the PARD off the top and put on a cheap optima 3-12x50. Going to use my side shot phone set up on there and needed it to be lighter but big image.

Only other modification I may do, is get a dual tank adapter from Saber Tactical and run dual 350cc bottles. That would also let me go up to a bigger moderator which it definitely needs.

I guess since no one wanted to buy this loud mouthed air hogs, I'm going to convert it to 22 cal since I have an FX 375mm liner here. Yes, it's 375mm, it has had the crown cut and redone by a previous owner.

I will try my hand at making a pellet pin probe and already have parts to make my own transfer port bushing. The barrel will stick out about 3" past the receiver, so it'll be even more compact. I'm thinking 28" with a moderator and probably get a CF 220cc or 300cc bottle for it.

With the power valve, I should be able to make good power even with the short barrel, and run it on low reg setting for efficiency.

Will a 14.75" barrel produce 35-40 fpe? We're going to find out!

i am curious how your experiments will turn out.
(still waiting on my power valve for my 9mm.)

https://airgunarcheryfun.ca/caliber-conversion-kit-for-m60-and-m60b/ Wes at airgunarcheryfun had caliber change kits in stock but they are all sold out atm, maybe he has extra probes or can order some in. Just another option if you can't get things to work.

I decided to go ahead and keep the 30 cal. I ordered one of these upgrade valve kits off ebay.

Paul seems to know his stuff of the platform and has made a few videos of mods and teardown.

This should add 100 fps AND he says it will lower the reg pressure needed by 20-30 BAR which is a huge gain for the big bore. I'm currently running 170 bar and only getting 835 fps with 45 grain.

If this brings me up into the 925 range, I will likely cut the barrel down and go compact dirty thirty. Make some baffles to stick in the shroud and run it at stock length and bottle.

The choke is heavy on this gun and I think that's giving me fits with accuracy. It currently likes only the JTS 45.06 and fx hybrids. I've tried a few NSA slugs and it won't group them even at 40 yards.

If I can get it to shoot 44 grain hybrids in the 850-900 range, I'd be happy. I

Gotta say what you've been doing is very cool thanks for sharing all tour doing!
