The MA-2 stock has two tubes, one on each side of the collapsible stock. Can these be removed? If so, how?

It’s an AR compatible button stock.. you can replace it with almost any AR adjustable stock on the market.
Now if you really wanted to, then yea.. I’d say you could remove the tubes with enough skill and right equipment..

I think if you remove the butstock from the main tube, you can turn and release the covers on each side tube.

These may help -
you remove the butstock from the tube by pulling straight down on the adjustment lever and sliding it backwards - it should pull right off. The "tops" of the tubes turn to release them from a slot in the stock. They won't come out when the stock is on the tube, as the tabs hit the tube.
The tube tops pull out - I suppose you could carry extra pellets in the field if you so choose to...
