Ok,
So I have a clearer picture of how a sampling of responders think about cheap imports. I’m a bit surprised at the apparent hate level, but only because I was associating attitudes of shooters I know (mostly converted firearm type airgunners). I really have tried for decades to get Americans to begin building airguns here, but I’ve never been one to denigrate various airguns just because of where they originated. I still feel there is room for all, and have owned and enjoyed airguns made in dozens of countries (maybe every country they are known to have been made).
But I really got little about good new entries of modern US-made airguns, apparently because most feel they can’t be made here, or its not worth much effort.
But this thread quickly evolved toward what seems to be racist bashing, and I’m sad about seeing this in what seems to be a golden period of airgun variety and availability.
So, ok.
