Tuning Magazines not advancing on New Marauder .22

there should be "NO" O-ring in a marauder magazine

there are 5 parts to a Marauder Magazine

magazine housing,

the spring should be mounted in the 10 O'clock hole in the Housing, place Rotating Mag well on spring in the slot on the back of the mag well, before completely installing the Rotating Mag well, rotate it clockwise 1/8th of a turn then seat it into the Housing, replace clear cover and screw, tighten screw till the clear cover and mag well rotate without any drag or hangups but is close enough for proper locking when turned to loading position.

I'm also a newbie with the Marauder .22 rifle, and have encountered exactly the same issue that jupiter33 and treynolds described. Like jupiter33, I discovered that the bolt can be pulled even farther back against significant spring tension. I'm not sure that's even necessary, and in any case, performing that step did not do squat to address the magazine not advancing.

@jupiter33 and @treynolds, given that more than a year has passed since your posts, were either of you able arrive at the definitive solution?

Hi All, I’m really grateful to the folks who take the time to post their problems and to those who offer advice. Among the latter is KatoKevin454, who is a certified genius, and I’ll tell you why.

I ended up fooling around with the magazine, and I was able to determine that the well of the rifle indeed appeared to be squeezing the magazine too tightly for the magazine to reliably advance. I was able simulate the problem by taking a fully loaded magazine and pushing each pellet out using a mechanical pencil +/- squeezing the magazine by hand. Without pressure, every pellet was easily expelled from the magazine in turn, but as soon as I squeezed the base of the magazine between my thumb and index finger to simulate the way the well was holding it, the magazine wouldn't advance to the next pellet in the sequence. I eased my grasp a bit, and voila - the magazine immediately advanced.

I tried to overcome the problem by increasing the tension on the spring (following a very helpful YouTube video for a .25 cal Marauder magazine (
), which works the same way mechanically as the .22’s), to no avail. But then I took KatoKevin454’s advice and sanded the back flat side of the interior plastic piece into which the pellets slot, and like magic, problem solved! It’s trial and error to determine how much to sand, so it may take a few rounds of disassembling, sanding, reassembling and testing (for the testing, try the finger squeeze technique so you don’t waste pellets taking test shots).

Apologies for being long-winded here, folks, but I figured for those of you out there with the same problem that jupiter33, treynolds and I had, the detail might be helpful.
