The next rifle in my Fall 2022 Maintenance Series is a Brocock Commander XR in .22. I acquired this rifle in August of 2022 from another AGN member residing in the State of Washington. It was as close to new in appearance as one could expect to get. It is now equipped with a Donny FL moderator, a UTG Bipod, and an Athlon Argos 8-32x56 scope on top of West Hunter vertically adjustable 30MM rings.
My maintenance check on this rifle was very routine as it had only been a couple of months since I set-it up. The test performance results and the original August set-up with all of the different pellets and slugs tested can be found below. Results from 18 to 89 yards can be observed. The maintenance target groups were 10 shot groups from my 18 yard indoor range.
This information is being provided to this forum in the event any of you other Brocock Commander owners would like to know how it performed with different pellets and/or slugs.
In the end, the AA 18.0 Gr pellet outperformed all of the other projectiles significantly. This is a great hunting rifle, not heavy, very accurate, with a high shot count.
