Making friends at the rifle range!

I shoot a FX Impact M3 .25g 600mm barrel using hollow point 33.5g slugs I am a member of very nice rifle range and shoot often. When I pull up at the 100y range, there are usually several members shooting their loud high power rifles. After setting up my table, I ask for a "Cold Range ", set up paper targets at 50y and put out several golf balls at 100y. Once the range is "Hot", the sound barrier is again broken with multiple rifles. I shoot quietly at 50y and hit the 1" dot consistently. The murmurs begin. Then someone says, "What's that you are shooting?" The conversation begins. I offer to let them shoot my air rifle. Someone takes me up on the offer. I set it to 100y and say, "Shoot the golf ball." He shoots and the white ball jumps. I have just made several friends and gained respect! Try it sometime.

Atta boy….that’s the way to “enlighten” others. I love hanging the golfs balls with fishing line in front of the wooden backstop. So easy to see the ball, and even more easy to see when it’s been HIT. Thanks for sharing your gear with fellow shooters.
