Tuning Manometer vs pump gauge reading

I installed the alteros regulator in my urban yesterday. Before the install both the gauges read the same psi reading. Upon pumping it up after the install the first time I noticed that the two gauges read differently with the Urban gauge reading 250-300 psi less than the pump. Is this normal after regulator installation?

Nope but is is normal for junkie gauges. Since you owned your Urban, how many times has it had no air in it? Draining the gun completely for the reg install provoked the gauge to read differently is my guess.

It has been pumped up from zero three times I think. Any way I can get it to reset?

Read the pump gauge and do a shot count over the chrony. See what you have gained by installing the reg.

If it bothers you too much you'll have to drain & replace gauge on airgun with a Wika or other replacement. 
Entry lever AG's don't use best gauges. It's not a huge problem.

sometimes they hang slightly, they are 'analog' guages and mechanical and doubtful several gauges on the same line will have the same reading ever lol .. a little silicone lube in them can smooth them out sometimes .. but i would guess to, that maybe its reading a reg'ed pressure? regardless i wouldnt go higher than any gauge with the top reading, max pressure usually isnt desirable anyhoo ..

Who knows, maybe the gauge on your pump is the whacky one. If you love the gun, do like James suggested, put a Wika on it. I just worked over an Urban for my friends son. I replaced the gauge just out of habit.
