Benjamin Marauder 177 accuracy

While I do not have a new Marauder (mine is a gen 1), I've had 3 different .177 cal Crosman barrels on mine, the last was a supposedly improved barrel. I had high hopes, but it was as mediocre as the first two. I bought a LW barrel (my fourth barrel on this gun) and it is simply far and away the better barrel (though 3x the cost). I bought a new Crosman barrel for another gun earlier this year and it was defective as well, with a score running the length of it that looked like someone ran a plow down the inside right through the lands and grooves. I won't buy another barrel from Crosman and if I do buy another Crosman gun, the first thing I will do is throw the barrel away and get a Lothar Walther for it. Just my experience.

Thank you for the response!

Where did you purchase the Walter and how much?

I plan to call Crosman Monday to ask them for the cost of one.
I would try Rich @Airgunrevisions. Or Tim Hill Airguns. I got a Benjamin Lothar Walther .177 barrel from him a few years ago for my Marauder. I think it cost me just over $100 plus shipping at the time. Plus you could get a light weight hammer, matching valve/hammer springs and a regulator to really juice up your gun. I get 90+ shots at 18.5 fpe out of my Marauder.

Thank you, I have an email in to Tim Hill about the barrel.
