Has anyone used ptfe teflon rod for their trasnfer port in a marauder? I'm building a high power marauder .25 soon and plan on making the barrel port and valve port 0.220. And planned on using 1/4 od 0.250 teflon rod with the id drilled out to 0.220 to match the valve and barrel.

I cannot speak for one well known supplier of fine M-Rod parts but I think they are using the Teflon rod machined and bored as a TP.

I've used nylon for a .250 transfer port it's surrounded by metal so it won't really expand any I just picked up a nylon spacer from ace hardware and fitted it

Not any more I made a 30 cal bottle mrod with a Cothran power house valve the valve was already made for a large transfer port so all I had to do was drill the action and cut it to length
