Marauder denounce question

Welcome to the forum! Funny you should ask this. I was looking for a way to fix a double feed issue on my .22 M-Rod. I was refered to a Maurauder forum/site. The forums over there are down but did have a PDF available in thier resource section which had some. info about tuning the M-rod for less hammer bounce. Link: https://docs.google.com/document/d/1WFDife1EqVkkDQPEwRZFU6Kawki2sCi0x5KdFarO86U/edit?hl=en_US

Hope you can get some useful info from this. Regards.

Welcome to the Family! You'll will surely find a hundred different ways to get to the same point. All are correct, depending on the route you take.... I prefer the free floating hammer set for max power and properly spaced hammer to valve. The more time you spend in here, the more information you'll get. You'll come across a solution that fits your understanding and skill level, and from there the rabbit hole gets DEEP. Good luck, Have FUN, and Be Safe!

Hello SB209, How is it you have come to the conclusion of hammer bounce? I have two Marauders, one bone stock, one custom to the hilt. Neither has given me this problem, but I was concerned also about this problem. I tried the JSAR stuff and found it to be less than what I expected from both a quality and performance standpoint. $350.00 of parts of no use. My shot count was below 25. After several different setups, I have achieved 40 shots, 27 fps avg, 870 fps avg. , all with a spring change in the valve, and hammer spring.

can you explain that - where is you buy the springs?

Hello. Sorry, I haven't been on here for a while. The springs were just from a box of assorted springs I had lying around in my shop. The valve spring has quite a bit less tension than original. My thought was to get as much spring out of the equation since all it does is make sure the valve will close.
The hammer spring is only slightly lighter pressure than original, but has more coils per inch. I had actually taken measurements of the spring and was going to order some from the internet, but at the time I wasn't sure how well (or not) it would perform. At this point, I am very happy with the performance. Next time I disassemble the rifle, I will get specs for it.
