Same basic layout across all years and models.

Gen 1 guns a 3 screw held down receiver ( Specific air tube & breech ) .177 & .22 use same breech w/ 7/16" barrel, the .25's a 1/2" barrel hole. Specific stock non interchange to G2 or F&T

Gen 2 guns a 4 screw held down breech and specific air tube. Different trigger group tho similar, non retrofit. Specific stock.

F&T models loosely based of Gen 2, tho different air tube, internal regulator and different stock being non interchange with G1 or G2

A general breakdown without getting overly technical. (y)

You gotta love a first gen .25
It’s a cool old relic …. I love the Mrods

I love my Gen 1 .25 M-Rod. Mine has an AGR hybrid tube and a AGR hammer system and bottle brush depinger and some port work to .161 through out. Shoots wonderfully and is accurate and powerful. But really, the Gen 2 is a better rifle, four receiver screws, factory depinger and better trigger reach, synthetic stock (Syn-Rod) knocks a lot of weight off alone.

As to accuracy, it is a wash between the GM Gen 1 barrels and the current Crosman Gen 2 barrels. I simply cannot produce a difference. If anything the Crosman barrels are less picky of pellets though they all shoot the standard fare of JSB, H&N just fine.

All are aluminum or hybrid aluminum:

I do not understand "old relic" as I shoot PB rifles that are as modern as anything made today or are the same model even as today and they are over 100 years old as are often the designs themselves. I think what makes the M-Rod classic is that it does not forgo simplicity for the latest fad and uses common materials and O-rings that may make the rifle still useful that 100 years from now. It could use a side lever and aluminum tube from the factory, just saying.

Thanks!! That's what I was looking for.

Do the gen2 .25 marauders also come with non crosman barrels like the gen1 did ?

No they do not. The early Gen 2 .25 did have the GM barrel but the current models do not, they have Crosman barrels. And as I have said, I have not been able to demonstrate any difference in accuracy between my Gen 1 with the GM barrel and the other three Gen 2 .25 rifles with current Crosman barrels. These are hunting rifles, not bench rest rifles, just to say.

This is a fairly relevant still article for the M-Rod (.25).

Gen 2's in .25 cal came with a Green mountain barrels UP UNTIL ABOUT say year & a half two years ago ???? later production a reported in house manufactured barrel.
* Have no specific details, but other whom may respond might

What about a regulator? Does the Gen 2 have a regulator? If so, set to what pressure?

The Marauder Field and Target is regulated. There is also a Marauder SAM. These are .22 caliber, the .25 is not available with a regulator and F&T or SAM models. The current rifles are listed with specs on their website.

Huma has a regulator kit, two of my rifles are regulated with Huma regs. For hunting purposes the M-Rod really does not need nor want a regulator.

I meant it kindly. I have a .17 and .25 marauders and Everytime I take them out to shoot I fall in love with them again.
Everyone ( including me ) lately seems to be into carbines and more compact lightweight versions of airguns.
I’ll just say Maruaders have a place in air gun history as the first real self tunable rifle for the masses.
I meant no disrespect to you nor the gun.
Gen 1 is the OG
