Marauder making a popping noise out the hammer spring adjuster?

You will feel a puff from the back of the hammer spring adjustment. This is the air ahead of the hammer evacuating from behind when the hammer moves forward. If you want to have some fun run a string over the chrony normaly. Then plug that back hole tight and run the string again.

🤔 is this normal for air to escape? You are the first to mention plugging the the hole! Never heard of this 😳 I’m taking you own a marauder. Did you experience the same thing? My chrony needs new lighting so I can’t test this out🙁 what did you discover by plugging the hole? Do you know the size of the plug?

Never mind, you guys were right about breech seal, mine some how walked on the bolt . Here is a picture

My friend shoots here with me once a week. While he was shooting his Armada, I commented to him that his gun was really loud. Didn't make sense because he shoots the Armada here quite often. To make a long story short, his breech o-ring was missing. Since I keep o-rings here for all my PCP's, I had the right o-ring and we were back in business in a few minutes.

Checked and replaced breech o ring didn’t not make any difference checked the metering screw for leaks none. Rechecked the four Allen head receiver all are tight. The only thing I can think of since it has been a year since I shot it , my understanding is that there is supposed to be air escaping when fired. Since this marauder is in a bullpup stock I can hear and feel the air coming out. The marauder is a 177 huma regulated with a hill large hole gauge port and barrel transfer port drilled. Gets 90 shots 657 FPS es 50 sd 15 shooting jsb 13.43. The info was stored in my competition electronics chrony. Unfortunately I cannot retest at this time as I need new lights on my chrony so I cannot test again. But I did block the rear hammer hole and it is so much more quiet now and does not seem to affect the accuracy. Will take out to the range and test out to 50 for accuracy with the plug in and see what happens

Plastic plugs are available to plug the hammer adjustment hole if it doesn’t affect accuracy, which is a surprise to me. Get your chronograph situation fixed and retest. What do you have for a hammer? A vented hammer would produce less air but there is still going to be some. When you move air in an enclosed tube it has to go somewhere. All the air noise from the valve through the TP and hammer venting is more pronounced with in a Mrod with a bullpup stock. BTW, as a last resort I would check your TP, but a tissue test should indicate a transfer port problem without pulling the breech off the air tube. Just my 2 cents.
