My Marauder pistol is extremely hard to cock and when pushing the bolt back in the final bit it also takes a hard push ?? Any suggestions would be appreciated.

Remove the breech and tighten up the engagement stud on the charging bolt. It loosened up and is now riding on the top of the tube.

The hammer might be binding in the tube. I had the same issue with a crosman 1701P. Here's a video I found that discusses the issue:
I have two 1720t's and a 1701P. Polishing the tube made all 3 much easier to cock and smoother. Good luck.

I will try both suggestions, I just had it all apart replacing o rings and and a few other things. Should have asked this question earlier ...LOL

Checked the engagement stud and it was tight, took it out and retightened just to be sure. Tried tapering the slot ends as per video, that helped a bit but still harder to cock than it should be, certainly NOT smooth.
Would installing a stronger hammer spring make much difference in cocking, I have put in a stronger spring ??

IF you installed a heavier hammer spring , it would be harder to cock , when i was playing with Prods i had 2 that were very hard to cock , Even for me, i quit letting my grandson shooting them because he would double load them .
