Marauder Pistol madness begins.

"JDShapp" so I can put a JDSairman regulated 13 cu in bottle on it.

Do yourself a favor and get a Ninja regulator. I have been inside a bunch of different (Painball) reg's and can tell you that Ninja is above and beyond what any of the others I have seen. As a for instance - my Ninja set at 1850psi takes under a second to return to 1850 psi if I put my tester on it and quickly open and close the valve. The JDS Airman I had would take like 6 seconds to return to w/i 50psi and then a full 35 seconds to return to the adjusted pressure it started at. It would then "creep" about 50-100psi if left to sit overnight. This means a low shot when you first pick up the gun and also waiting 35 seconds between shots if you want consistency. Since this reg was on a metric bottle (Ninja does not make a metric one) I removed the JDS Airman piston and replaced it with a Ninja piston. A WORLD of difference. Ninja's are made in the USA, the others? NOT.

Mine came without any loctite .
Anyways,I have a hard time getting the 2.65'' length that is shown in the instructions ,so,for now ,I'm sticking with the 3 o rings BStaley buffer mod ,then,I'll contact Steve for advise .

Today,I swapped the original transfer port for a .110 diameter one ,and the fps jumped from the 600/650/620 to 710/800/730 ,and also changed the hammer spring for a stiffer one .

Now,I'm trying to figure how to install the huma regulator that I've got as well,so,hopefully it will be more consistent from shot to shot .

These people from huma should add a hook or something to fish out the regulator if need be .

AJ told me to use a screw with a fish line attached to it ,and, leave the line inside the air tube .Problem is ,is July 4th,so everything is close I think.

So,at least for now,it shoots faster,so,is cool .

My goal is to get consistent shots at 690/720 .

I picked up a .101 or one close to it from Marmot Militia for my transfer port. I'm going to give the FFH another go when the port gets here and hopefully it'll be back up near where it was before. Though it could be awhile before I get a chance to send shots over a chrono again. I typically use a power inverter and a indoor kit on my prochrono out on my rural property nights after I get off work, but the Jeep I used was pretty much totaled last night in a wreck. I may have to opt for a shooting setup in a portable garage I got here instead until I pick up another SUV or truck.

Nobody ended up injured, save for me with my ankle being a bit tender after the impact, but that's nothing to see a doctor over. True to airgun addiction though I made sure the air rifles and my SCBA tank have been accounted for, and I packed them up into my fathers truck for now. When I get a chance I'll have to give them a once over to make sure they're all zeroed still and functioning properly. Don't expect it to be a problem since my .25 marauder and .30 cal BT65 were in hard cases, and my .22 marauder was in a padded soft case.

Now I just have to wait for the claims adjuster to make a decision on whether my Jeep gets fixed or it gets scrapped and I end up having to find another 4WD to suit my needs.

Tonight I did a bit of work on the P-rod. Haven't exactly reset the hammer after not getting the FFH kit to work like I wanted. Probably a good thing. Also found out the drop down I had planned for the bottle is on hold for a few months, so instead I've switched gears and picked up Huma reg, and I also got a custom ID .101 transfer port from Marmot Militia. Both of those went into it tonight and tomorrow I'm going to check to see if it is losing air anywhere. I have it set for 110 bar so far, and I didn't delete the gauge block like some others have. Thanks to that it appears as though my gauge is off since it is sitting at almost 2kpsi, where 110 bar should be closer to 1.6kpsi.

As for regaining my lost air space I'm going to have to see if Airgun Labs double tube setup can be modified in some way to be used in conjunction with a regulator.

Jeep wise I'm still waiting on the claims guy to show up and tell me whether its going to be a complete lose.

Took the P-rod out for a test drive today. Threw the CP domes all over the place now, but was over the chronograph it was shooting close to 700fps for 22 shots. Both the hammer throw and spring are full CCW still. Didn't get a chance to test the fps of the 18gr pellets but they're still my most accurate at 25yds.

So far using the huma reg has me at where I wanted to be except for the shot count. I could probably delete the gauge and get a few more shots. The performance of the regulator is extremely nice.

As for anyone wondering, the estimate came in and the Jeep is definitely a loss.
