Marauder preload screw stuck?

Just picked up a brand new Marauder, and I can't get this hammer spring adjustment screw to back out, or even budge at all. It appears to be pretty far in there, and I'm worried that any more torque applied to the screw was going to break something. I don't know if it's wasting a bunch of air or what, but it seems very loud for a gun that everyone claims to be so quiet, especially in 177.

Any input would be greatly appreciated!

I don't know if this is typical of a marauder at factory settings, but this was testing right out of the box. Barrel hasn't been cleaned yet, and this was cheap ammo. 3000 psi down to 1200, using 7.9 grain 177 crosman hollowpoints.

Should be able to get at least 40 shots I would thing with the extreme spread of about 20 fps with some tuning try turning hammer spring screw in if I remember correctly it doesn't come all the way out

Try some heat (apply with a torch) (you'd have to remove the rear plug, which is just 4 screws, 1 stock, 2 breech, 1 trigger group, no degas required), it may be held in place by loctite or glue?

remove the stock , one screw in front of the trigger . then the last of the 3 screws on the trigger assembly holds the bottom of the end cap , and and the other side of that screw is 2 long screws , "allen bolts " remove those and keep pressure on the cap because your hammer spring is loaded all the way , remove cap , fix it and re install it !

unless its Cross threaded im thinking probably loctite ,
