Marauder shot string

Hi,

My friend just bought a second hand Marauder in .22 cal. I just helped him test it over my chrony. It made almost 50 shots between 3000 and 2000 psi all between 800 and 818 fps (16gr jsb). Is that normal, or is it possible the previous owner added a reg? It was bought from a gun shop with no info supplied from the previous owner.

Probably has a hammer debounce device installed. Could be a reg but most likely has a slingshot mod

If it is a 2263 or 2264 and aftermarket reg was installed, the pressure on the gauge would show the steady reg pressure and not the fill. Is it the F&T model? Which has a reg and does show the fill. Model number is on the breech.

Thanks guys, It's not the F&T model, the gauge shows the tank pressure. I'll find out the model number later.

It could have a lightweight hammer and debounce device-tuned for moderate power like that a lot of shots per fill are possible. Sounds like a score if it's accurate as well!

Yep, I think it's a good one, shot it at 25M with the 4x32 scope that came with it. About 10 shot 1/2 inch group without trying too hard. Trigger is stiff with only 1 stage. Once that is sorted and better scope, will be spot on

ooo thats a nice shot string i get about 24 shots on a .25 gen 2 marauder. 800s - 820s then back to (800-790s) accuracy was awesome at that speed though using jsb kings. as for regulator i added a huma regulator which dropped my shotcount a few and lowered my feet per second down to 700s since my stock valve need opening up
