We had a great match today with 4 shooters. It was about 40f with light drizzle, mist and breaks in between. That included the wind. Our first six lanes were facing the Aberjona River with a consistent, though relatively light wind. turning right 90d for the next 6 lanes we shot into the swamp, which we affectionately call the Degoba System. This section almost always presents us with switching, swirling winds and didn't disappoint today. After finishing lane 12 we moved into the woods for lanes 13-25. Lane 13 is an easy stander with two, 1" targets no further than 13yds. Lanes 14-18 shoot into the swamp again, then a bit of elevation leads to the woods and the toughest shot in the NE. Lane 25, target 24. A 1" KZ(I think, could be 1.5") under 15yd at a 46d angle. Stick, or an extended hamster just isn't enough for this shot. You're holding it up best you can and praying to at least hit the faceplate, and feel like you've won the match knocking it down. It took us about 3 hours to get through shooting one shot each at 50 targets, finishing up around 1:30. After breaking down the sight in and comparing score cards we departed.
