Events Match Results Central Pa Airgun Thursday 2/27/25

After delays due to weather we were able to hold our February match. Eight spring gun shooters competed at 20 meters. We shot one card of our normal silhouette animal that score 1 point for a hit and a half point bonus if the pellet is 100 percent inside the animal for a possible total of 30 points. For the second target to change things up we shot 25 shoots at a rimfire target scoring it 1 point to hit the center dot. If you don't hit it you get to try again on the next bullseye. Possible 25 points on the card. After the first card George Price led with 28 points, but several shooters were lurking in the weeds. After the card of shooting at small dots scored hit or miss, one or zero it ended up as follows:
First Jeff Gates 41.0
Second George Price 38.5
Third Sam Salyards 37.5
Next match is the 3rd Thursday of March, 7pm at Double Tap Indoor Range in Altoona, Pa
Lt to Rt...Jeff Gates, George Price, Sam Salyards and the winning targets.

That dot in a big ring is tough. Sam and I figured the average score would be about 8. When I told a couple guys that they looked skeptical thinking it will be higher that that. Average score..........8. I hit 8 out of the first 10 then only 4 out of the next 15. Its way harder than hitting dots on a regular bullseye target. Yes the TX is the money gun, probably because it's a good platform and I have lots and lots of pellets out of it.
