After not being able to get the springer I wanted, I researched PCPs and decided on the Marauder rifle in .22. I found a brand new gun (new old stock) at a good price on an auction site. Long story, by the time I got my hands on it, the return policy was expired. In the photos, the gun had 2000 psi. When I got it, the tank was empty. I asked the seller if he had degassed it and he told me the gun had been stored for several months in a non-temperature controlled environment and that could have caused the pressure loss. To start, I decided I would hand pump and bought an eBay Chinese knock-off. That’s an entirely different story. I could only get the gun to 1000 psi before the pump let out a hiss and stop working. After a couple of days, the gun is down to 500 psi. So…new gun stored poorly…now leaks. Do I go ahead and replace all the seals? Are some seals more prone to leak, so replace them first? Any advise is appreciated as this is new territory for me. I see seal kits on Amazon. Are those adequate? Can anyone point to any good tutorials out there regarding changing seals on the Marauder?
Thanks very much,
Tom
