At least they are available and you don’t have to trail and error it on your lathe. Saves a bunch of time. Impressive.
or be like you and have an impact with valve adjustment so you don’t need 3 different hammer weights.

qball,
Glad to hear your Maverick is shooting well. Got to love a clear sunny day you can shoot a new Airgun and it is putting a smile on your face. Enjoy.

Thanks! It literally floored me on how good it is! Weather was nice but windy but it also showed just how good even light slugs are in the wind Vs pellets. With the wind today I doubt half of the pellets would even make it to the target.
However the Maverick is no longer mine, I sold my buddy my dream-tac compact and I took that back and he will just pay me the difference. He has 5 acre property so he actually gets to shoot slugs any time he wants. Guess it’s a great Christmas for him!!! He really wanted and it simply has too much overlap with my Impact.
for consolation I just got ernest Rowe’s tensioning sleeve to add more stiffness to his carbon liner sleeve on my impact 700mm .25 barrel. Can’t wait to try it now!
factory .22 light hammer weight is 7 grams
medium weight hammer labeled 19215 is 11 grams
heavy hammer labeled 17003 is 13 gram.
stock 7 gram hammer weight will shoot 18 grain pellets at 900 FPS with reg at 100 bars and hammer NOT maxed with 500mm barrel!!! that is super impressive power!!!!
Installed medium hammer and this thing is going to shoot HOT! Will see what it does with my NSA sample packs all the way to 28.5 grain. With medium weight think it’s going to be next to impossible to get any pellets under 900 FPS.
this got me thinking.....if I use medium or heavy hammer can I shoot the 177 pellets close to HMR speed??? LOL!
It’s hammer time!!!
not sure which one is heavier yet.
My Maverick came with the lightest hammer weight too. After installing the heaviest hammer the rifle had no issues pushing heavy slugs.
they really should include different hammer weights and their proper application in their tuning videos!!!!
can't you just fill that hole with lead and gain some weight

Hi. The question is a little off topic, but tell me the exact geometric dimensions of the part 47: FX Dreamline Hammer Weight-17003 (in millimeters). Since the borders between countries are closed and I can't order this part for my FX Dreamline Tact compact 0,22 cal., I want to make this part. Currently, my air rifle has a Hammer Weight -19215 part installed, and according to the instructions, the hammer weight – 17003 should be installed in it. The maximum speed of a JSB bullet (18.1 grains) at all maximum settings in my air rifle is 238-239 m / s (780-785 ft/s). To increase the power, I wanted to try installing a new hammer weighing-17003.

maybe? But it is the hammer that smashes the valve so highly doubt the lead would stay in place for very long. It’s only 5 bucks from FX.
edit: after thinking about it I think it’s possible to mash some lead in there. The hammer striking area is on opposite side so definitely plausible to fill it with a little bit of lead to get to 11 or 13 grams. Only concern is vibration rattling it loose. Maybe you can use solder and heat so it might bond to the hammer better. You only need 4 grams but solder is light so try brass solder?

You can just melt some used pellet using an empty can of tuna and pour it on that hole, once it hardens it wont come off and it would probably be heavier than the original hammer from fx. This will probably give you more striking power
What is the weight of the hammer in Maverick, I mean this part of the hammer?
