Tuning Maverick hammer weight stuck

So I got this .22 Maverick Compact with the intention of putting a .30 cal barrel kit and when I did the Velocity was around 650 max. Contacted FX and they said I needed a heavier hammer weight and the sent the medium and heavy hammer weights. I put the heavy one this morning and realized it es way too much. Went to put the medium one in and the weight is stuck inside the hammer and won’t come out. I tried pulling it out with needle nose pliers but it’s laughing at me. 


Any suggestions???

Don't have a answer but a suggestion.. Throw the hammer in the freezer over night and try in the morning....

Pull the trigger bits out, so you can completely remove the hammer. You'll probably have an easier time getting it out, once you have it in your hands. Use the needle nose pliers to wiggle it while pulling. It is probably just canted in there and sticking. Once you do get it out, may be a good idea to give the large end a few hits with some sand paper to prevent that happening again.

That’s exactly what I did. Thanks a bunch. Ended up using the master class video for the Wildcat mkiii since there’s no video for the Maverick. The hammer weight was slightly larger and that’s why it got stuck.
