Maverick help, please!

I need some help! I have a .22 Maverick Compact. Regas at 105-73, shooting 15.89 FX pellets at 871-ish avg pretty regularly. PW at 7 and ihs at 3 1/4 turns.
BUT…….on almost every mag I shoot I’ll
Get 1 or 2 shots(out of 18) that shoot slow-in the 850’s. Accuracy is very good, under 1MOA. I don’t select pellets or weigh them.
I know- “who cares if accuracy is good?”. But I am a bit OCD so just wondering…..what is going on?

Can anyone hypothesize what’s happening?
Thanks in advance for your help!!

I get the same thing occasionally in my 25. I attribute it to the FX regulstors, but you can get it with most regs. I tune my gun to shoot 870/ 25.3g. 130/100. I tune for #4 wheel and adjust hammer screw to smoothest shot, least recoil. Listen, you'll hear and see it. I can " wheel up" to 900+ but I'm just as accurate if not more @ 870. More shots per fill.. Might try to come off that #7. Just an idea.
I'd like to get an educated answer to this reg jump occurence.

i think your regs to low, havnt shot mine that much due to back fusion but mines at 100 rear reg 140 front power 6 with 18 gr right at 900fps and no low fps shots i think to low reg will cause that id say 90 lowest id go unless you flip over the plenum like few 12ftlb guys do matt dubber talked about the issui with large plenum and really low 2nd reg issues try it see how it see if it better mine shooting 16gr at 920 on power 5 id say 100 plus shots

Thanks for the replies! I’ll do some measurements and be back soon. I’d never thought about the larger plenum affecting the occasional slow shot. Do you know which Dubber video that was in?

I do know that the large plenum requires that sometimes you need to slow down and let it fill up before shooting. When shooting a string fast, the plenum needs to catch up. Could be the reason for slower shots if it isn't the same fill for each shot.

Thanks again! Really!
So, I’m not shooting quickly at all. And, I thought that kind of issue came from not enough differential pressure between the tank and the plenum, especially under 20 bar.
Also, Utah Airguns told me to use the larger transfer port. So the maximum amount of air gets behind the pellet. I would have expected that lighter pellets could use the smaller “pellet” port to get max speed, but…..
Really appreciate the dialogue!!
