Tuning Maverick leak.

Same day I got this gun it went nuts. FX promptly picked it up and repaired. Great service. However, yesterday , I was resetting regs, BY THE BOOK! After draining gun, adjusted reg1 down to low point, when reinstalled bottle air RUSHED from adjusting screw. Emailed FX last evening. I'll call them a little later Today.

Notice I didn't list all the steps, I did say by the book. Step by step was followed have adjusted gun a few times. Just got it too hot

I'm sure this is an easy fix if FX will send parts. Problem is. O rings only? Screw? Regulator housing?

Something to watch for, make sure reg / bottle connection housing is mounted " square", so adjusting hole is aligned w/ screw. Mine wasn't , this may be the contributing factor.

All right. fixed. Looked @ my parts break down and 2x1x90 ring was used on the impact and I guess the amp regs. I found the outer o ring , closest to threads was deformed.

why do I (we) save parts? looked in my extras. Viola! there sat 2 pretty as new 2x1x90's labeled and in a sealed bag. got the old off (just replaced outer) thought I'd try to save one for later. bugger to get off with my big old fingers and P@$$ P^^r eyesight. even worse getting it on. i fought it for 20 . before my mind started working. got my jewelers glasses on. took and old regulator housing from my impact parts bag. clamped vise grip flush with bottom to make a stable vise Started the thread a round or 2 to set up valve seat nice and tall. put the o ring on.

back in the game OOORAH.

Might be what you need to do to fix your wildcat. it would be the outer o ring. (by threads).

I am sure that as i stated before, the out of line valve and access hole probably made me ply a slanted torque on screw and affect the o ring. especially when I seated it all the way down. look for that. fix it by (empty of air) loosen the 2 allen head screws by the reg housing and twist carefully until the adjuster and hole line up. your allen wrench (2.5) should drop into the valve. better tighten those 2 allen screws by valve!!!!! 😕

Jewelers glasses or visors are great for us old folks. I use mine often.

That's great you were able to fix the thing without sending it away. I really hate sending things off as then you increase the probability of having problems due to shipping damage that all to often occurs. It can get pretty frustrating at times. I think a large part of our leaks, on our PCPs, are self imposed. Many are the exact failure you dealt with. Thanks for the post and the solution as well.
