FX Maverick Problem adjust hammer spring

Hello,

I can't adjust the hammer spring. Up to position 3 of the dial the power increases well, when I reach position 4/5/6/7 the power drops considerably. I screwed the hammer screw all the way in and tried to unscrew it by a quarter turn and it's still the same. My regulation is 150/115 bars, my Maverick is in .22 and for the moment I only shot Pellets exactely jsb 15.89
Thanks

I set my pressures to 120/80 and 115/75 and whatever the pw position it's the same I have power inconsistencies and I noticed on high powers it's very noisy like a large quantity of air escaping
Excuse me for chiming in, I’m new to the concept of “tuning” the regulators and have never done it, BUT are you degassing when lowering the regulator pressure??? From what I’ve read, you can damage it if done incorrectly…

The regs have a brass bit and another 'hopefully' brass bit with a Delron insert, going against the Delron will put a divot in it. WHICH it gets just in normal usage. Official kicker, some of the brass/delron bits had the delron too long, almost impossible to get enough pressure out of the gun, it need to protrude about .2mm above the top of the brass. Polishing both mating surfaces helps a bit with regulator creep. Oh and if you do take them apart, when reassembling put a tiny bit of synthetic motor oil on the o-rings, and NO it won't EXPLODE, the 0-rings will thank you, oh and a bit on the Belleville washers also, friction is not a good thing.

I tried a setting today, pressure 160/125-130, here are the results:
pw7:940 fps
pw6:920
pw5:890
pw4:800
pw3:980 loud popping noise
Pw2:980 loud popping noise
pw1:980 loud popping noise

What is my problem with 1/2/3 …. I dont understand.
Short answer is, your lack of tune sucks, not to be mean but...we've all been there. First drop your reg pressure down to 110, maybe lower, Screw in your Macro adjuster screw, all the way then back it out 2 turns, turn the dial to #7 and see what it does for 3 shots, drop it down to say #5 it should be much slower. You are ONLY tying to get things to even out, speed comes later. If what I said happens then back out the Macro half a turn on #7, keep that up until you hit a max speed or even start to go down, screw it in 1/4 and tiny tiny incriments, you want to hit your max speed less a little. NOW bump up your Reg 5 bar, what's your speed, do the 7 and 5 thing again, is 7 higher than 5? if so, bump the reg up a bit more. If things are good you should be about 900ish, somewhere in there is the right speed for your gun and your pellets, this is fiddle time with the macro to find the sweet spot. Somewhere between 890 and 940. Have fun.
